In early 2014, when I was challenged to bring BMO’s brand platform to life through an experiential campaign, I wasn't all that inspired. I mean, a bank is a bank is a bank right? And if I couldn't be convinced that ‘We’re here to help’ was anything more than ad fodder how was I going to be able to convince anyone else?
Over that last three years however, my tune changed. I've been lucky enough to spend countless hours, no make that years, getting to know the employees behind the branches. Inspiring, devoted and above all else, human, they truly are what makes BMOs tagline true.
The longest running real-life campaign in the bank's history, #HelpGiven hasn't just garnered millions of views online, but its increased brand sentiment and consideration scores to eight times the benchmark.
A mix of real-life testimonials, surprise and delights for two special customers, a full-length documentary and yes, some seriously awesome animated pieces too, I couldn't be prouder of the campaign or to be a BMO customer myself.
